Most common materials for clothing was wool and linen (ocasionally cotton was also used) due to it being better suited for shiplife.

The flamboyant hats with feathers that pirates are depicted with are not historically accurate. Closest in resemblance was the tricorn hats, worn on land for show.

Alternatively, knit caps and wide brimmed caps were the choice of headwear.

Pirates rarely wore bucket boots, instead worked barefoot on deck for better grip and swimming mobility. Buckle shoes were used on land.

Sailor slops or breeches were common legwear.

Linen shirts somtimes worn with waistcoasts when cold. Short jackets (fearnoughts). Neckerchiefs.

Fancier clothing reserved for captains that were stolen such as knee-length coats with pulled back cuffs and buttons.
