Clay workshop; „Notice, explore, make“
The goal is to combine math, chemistry and the visual arts; notice the shapes in nature and shape them in clay, which is preceded by weighing the clay, dividing it into equal masses, fully utilizing the given amount of clay, then, preparing the natural colors and coloring the shapes.

Cultural visit of city Osijek

During the 4th meeting of the project participants, after the welcome event, a short presentation of the state, region, place and school of the participating countries is planned for the purpose of getting to know the teachers better. The host school will organize a presentation on the education system in Croatia so that teachers from other countries can get a clearer picture of our education and make a comparison of the education of the participating countries.

Through planned workshops related to the STEM field and the arts, participants will develop their creativity, logical reasoning, critical thinking, hands-on work modeled on "make it yourself".
As the school has the ability to produce clay objects (owns a clay furnace), for the purpose of correlating objects and developing creativity.

As part of this mobility, we plan to visit the City and University Library and Children's theater; participants take part in workshops which contain links between science and the arts. These activities will link the cooperation between our project and the local community, which will be extended to global cooperation as partners from other countries involved in the project will directly participate. 

Teachers have the opportunity to exchange ideas, refine their knowledge and skills, learn about new ways of working and different educational systems, through the completion of project tasks, workshops and collaboration with other teachers participating in the project.

The school will gain additional experience in all aspects of organization, preparation, cooperation with the local community and institutions, cooperation with partner schools, which is important for further development.

chemistry Natalija Krešo (prefers practical work, problem solving, teaching in nature, scientific activities (workshops), etc.)  She active participated in ERASMUS + project (USMRES) with pedagogical adviser Melita Krstić who had lot experience in mentioned projects as a coordinator and can contribute to the realization of the project too.

Teacher of physics Mirjana Bagarić uses a wide range of methods in her work, just like Nikolina Jakić and Oriana Juretić-Bandić wich are maths and IT teachers. Art teacher Silvija Vukašinović, work hard with students, and is very innovative in her work. English teachers Doroteja Vojedilov and Petra Lang are necessary to support the implementation of the activities.

The team will consist of well-trained class teachers and with high qualifications who are

willing to learn more about steam topic. As the teachers have already worked on different creative

activities, they are used to hard and systematic work.

 

Isabel Reis has been a long-time etwinner and project creator since 2007. She is a school board member and the head teacher of international projects and etwinning activites. She is also the coordinator of the European Club.

Jorge Conde has been creating projects since 2015 and worked on Erasmus+ projects in our group of schools.
