Before the revolution people would have not questioned how things happened and would just think it was some deity from the heavens. But with the advancement of science and technology, we can now see the true reason why it happens. The Europeans spread diseases and they thought it was the gods helping them take down the natives but now we know that the only reason they were not affected is because they grew their immunity. Also with the discoveries made by Antonie Van Leewenhuek of microbiology, diseases are now a thing we know of which allowed us to create medicine and cures for these illnesses that seemed incurable in the past. There were also many astronomers who discovered how space worked and that the sun was the center of the solar system and new found knowledge of life on earth we can now see how the Native Americans were actually right in thinking how the sun created all life, it is partly true since the sun does power most of the food chain and cause many different phenomena to happen.

The Scientific Revolution is an example of a turning point because it changed the course of peoples lives forever. The Scientific Revolution brought in more knowledge of the world and ourselves as people. An example of this is if someone got ill, then the people in that family would go to the church a pray to God. At the time, they believed that if they prayed to god then god would protect their family from getting any other illness. There was nothing proving this except the Catholic Leaders telling the followers that this would happened. When the Scientific revolution came there was an discovery on the human body and how the heart and lungs work. (William Harvey) This would led to the idea of bacteria and medicine. It showed that they had knowledge of astronomy and were capable of creating these theories without the technology we have. Now, we have the technology designed to prove that Earth orbits the sun as well as every other planet, but the scientists back then didn't have access to the knowledge we do. It's astonishing to see how intelligent people were back then and how those same theories were proven true centuries later. The Scientific Revolution showed that people had the basic knowledge and had already come up with ideas of other things such as the stars and how far away they were, not only the planets and how they orbited. These scientists invented different models of telescopes to study stars and the other planets in the sky and they studied the way the sun rose and how the moon always appeared in the sky and they took those aspects and studied into them. They studied how the sun rose and set everyday therefore coming up with different theories that the sun orbited the Earth or that the Earth orbited the sun, or just everything orbiting the Earth as if it were the center of the universe.
