After reading "Wind at Work" and "Energy Choices" the claim wind energy is not good for a main energy source is a valid claim. In the text "Wind at Work", the author states "when wind isn't blowing, another fuel source is needed to support the gird." This shows that wind energy is not a reliable source because it can stop blowing and the energy grid would be stopped and people would not get energy. This shows that wind energy cannot be a reliable source because it could stop blowing. In the text "Energy Choices", the author states "wind turbines kill millions of bats and birds each year." This shows that if we keep wind energy as a main source of energy, millions and millions of birds and bats will die and their population will decrease dramatically. This shows that wind energy cannot be our main energy source.

Wind energy is an efficient alternative to fossil fuels and other nonrenewable resources. In other words, wind power is a step in the right direction because it is just as consistent as other energy sources such as solar power. After all, the sun doesn't always shine facing towards the solar panels. In "Wind at Work" the author states, "Wind energy on the other hand, is abundant, inexhaustible, clean, and incredibly efficient." Compared to fossil fuels, wind energy has many positives that will make the world a cleaner environment. Even if wind power isn't always abundant enough to support an entire power grid, it can support more than half daily. For example, in the text "Energy Choices" the author states "Wind is another energy resource available all over the world." Clearly, converting common resources into clean energy is very efficient. As you know, wind can be found all around the globe. Overall, wind energy is just as efficient as other clean resources and should be utilized in areas where it is most plentiful.

Wind energy is an efficient type of energy strategy. Both the text, "Wind at Work" and the text "Energy Choices" support this claim through their pieces of evidence. The text "Wind at Work" shows this when in paragraph 8 it states, "Coal, petroleum, and nuclear power plants have an average efficiency rate of 31 percent. By comparison, wind has an efficiency rate of 95 percent". This proves that compared to fossil fuels, renewable energy sources such as wind power are much more efficient than using non-renewable sources. Meanwhile in the text "Energy Choices" the author states "Wind is another energy resource available all over the world". Now the reader can infer that wind energy is easy to get all over the world so it's more efficient. In conclusion both texts show that wind energy is an efficient way to get energy.

After Reading "Wind at Work" The argument that I agree with is that wind energy is not something that will bring benefits to our world. The reason that I agree with this statement is because we cannot have a solution for our world that also causes more problems.

Wind energy may have its benefits, but that doesn't stop it from having down sides. Wind energy causes many problems to the environment, including inconsistency and murder to animals. For instance, in paragraph 11 the author states, " Is wind clean? Yes, but while wind might not emit harmful pollutants, wind farms sill wield horrific environmental impacts. Turbines kill birds, baths, and other wildlife at an alarming rate." This shows that while wind energy can be efficient, it is not the answer towards our problem. The Author also states in the text that, "Is wind efficient? Yes, but only when it's blowing! The fact that wind is inconsistent. It is still not-and may never be- reliable enough to replace fossil fuels." This evidence shows the readers that wind is shown the have ambiguity and can not replace fossil fuels.

In conclusion, wind energy is only going to cause more problems to our world and is not the answer to a good community. Even though the wind energy helps the environment, it isn't the answer to our problem.

From the text, “Wind at Work”, the author has written about how wind energy is a good and bad thing. He has shown his information by writing it in an argumentative way were both sections have different opinions on wind energy. But from both of the sections, I would have to agree that wind energy is an efficient choice. In the first section of page 8, "The Case Against Wind: Efficiency", the author has given reasons on how wind energy is the better option. The author gives away efficient evidence supporting their choice. So, from both of the sections, I would mostly agree with wind energy being an efficient choice. From the first section, "The Case Against Wind: Efficiency", the author has given reasons on how wind energy is the better option. The author gives away efficient evidence supporting their choice. For example, in paragraph 7, the author states, "Wind energy, on the other hand, is abundant, inexhaustible, clean, and incredibly efficient. Wind turbines generate electricity directly, converting the kintetic energy of wind to turn turbines and rotate electric generators." This piece of evidence given by the author helps the reader know what the author is explaining to the reader. The author has given reasons on why wind energy is an efficient choice for everyone. The other even gives words like "abundant", "clean" and even "incredibly efficient." The reader can see how wind energy has some pretty positives to it. Other piece of evidence is in paragraph 8 when the author has written, "Coal, petroleum, and nuclear power plants have an average efficiency rate of 31 percent. By comparison, wind has an efficiency rate of 95 percent." This piece of evidence helps the reader know about the difference in the efficiency rate. A 95 is better than 31 percent. Through the research that the author has done, the reader can clearly know that wind energy is a powerful choice for everyone. But there are also graphic elements to support that wind energy is a good choice. In paragraph 13 of "Energy Choices", the author states, "Most nations have a plan, or strategy, for using resources to generate energy. Denmark's strategy is to produce 50 percent of its electricity from wind and to be free from fossil fuels by 2025." This piece of evidence tells the reader about how different nations are already planning their next strategies. Denmark is already having a plan of using electricity from wind, freeing fossil fuels. This clearly shows how almost everyone thinks that wind energy is the way to go. In conclusion, from "Wind at Work" and "Energy Choices", I can conclude that wind energy should be the way to go because it helps our wonderful environment and is even good for our future.

On the other hand some people believe that wind energy is not the way to go but the text “Energy Choices’ states “Nonrenewable resources (Ilike nuclear and fossil fuels) take millions of years to form.” This shows how nonrenewable resources are not the way to go because they take a very long time to form and harm the environment when we use them. All in all the argument that wind energy is efficient is the one I agree with because it is a stronger claim.

In "Wind at Work" the author stated, "Is wind efficient? Yes, but only when it's blowing!" and "Turbines kills birds, bats....". This supports the claim against wind, because the author states that wind is killing birds and it isn't consistent, so there will always be another source needed. In "Energy Choices", the author stated, "Geothermal is very inexpensive and produces no pollution" and "They use hydropower to make electricity.". This supports my claim, by how it shows the better alternatives to wind energy and their pros. Overall, we should not use wind energy as an alternative to fossil fuels.

Wind energy is a good, effective, and clean energy source. In "Wind at Work" paragraph 3 it says that a wind farm can make 1,800,000 which can power 160,000 houses for a year without pollution the endangerment. Also in paragraph 8 it says that coals, petroleum, and nuclear has a 31 percent efficiency rate unlike wind energy with 95 percent efficiency rate. This shows that wind energy is a better energy source because it works most of the time. In "Energy Choices" the diagram on page 18 it shows the estimate presented in 2035 compared to the 2012 which shows a 4 percent increase. So I can infer that becuase the diagram shows a 4 percent use increase, that the energy source must be good because it is being used most.

Wind energy is a clean and efficient energy source that should be used more often in areas that can.

In the text "Wind at Work", many reasons are given to the reader of why wind energy has its advantages. It is always available no matter what, and cannot be wasted. It also is cleaner than other kinds of non-renewable forms of energy sources. To support this, and example from the text is, "Coal, petroleum, and nuclear power plants have an average efficiency rate of 31 percent. By comparison, wind has an average efficiency rate of 95 percent." People may argue that it is not clean because it is harmful to the environment, and as stated in the text it states, "...wind might not emit harmful pollutants, wind farms still wield horrific environmental impacts. Turbines kill birds, bats, and other wildlife at an alarming rate." There are many solutions to this, such as placing wind farms in areas where there are less animals that can be hurt. Or they could find a way to keep the creatures away. This proves that wind is the better option to use as an energy source, because it is more efficient to use than the other sources.

Similarly, there are more reasons why the wind is clean and efficient. In the text, "Energy Choices", wind is another way to use energy that is safe and friendly to the environment. It states that, "Countries that burn fossil fuels pollute the air and contribute to global climate change." This shows that fossil fuels are worse and can be harmful. It also states that "Denmark's strategy is to produce 50 percent of its electricity from wind and to be free from fossil fuels by 2050." This represents that a country is already using wind power, since it is beneficial for them, and the United States should continue doing it as well. A lot of other nations have a goal to use cleaner energy, especially wind power, because it can be more helpful to everyone, including humans so they have more resources available, the environment, and overall the entire planet.

In conclusion, wind energy is beneficial for the future of the world, and should be used more often in places that wind is available. Renewable energy is better to use than fossil fuels.

Wind energy is a poor choice of energy as an alternative source. Wind energy farms still wield horrific environmental impacts. Wind Energy is also only efficient when the wind is blowing. The wind is very inconsistent and still may not be a reliable source of energy. In "Wind at Work." the author states "Wind farms still wield horrific enviromental impacts." The author also states "The fact is wind is inconsistent. It is still not- - and may never reliable enough to replace fossil fuels." The author means that ,still wind as a energy source could still be non reliable as wind is inconsistent. In conclusion the argument I believe with is against wind energy.
