Within Foundation to Year 2, students are required to “collect, explore and sort data, and use digital systems to present the data creatively”. As the activity, “Jellybean Maths”, already caters to the first part of the content descriptor, “collecting, exploring and sorting data”, an additional activity would need to be integrated to allow students the opportunity to present their data using digital systems. One way in which this could be achieved is through an activity that requires students to use digital technologies to record their data in a simple column graph or picture graph. "Graphing for kids" is one app that would be particularly effective for this task. This graphing app is an easy learning tool used to support students, as they use digital systems to present their data in a graph, thus, meeting the requirements of the Australian Curriculum: Technologies.
