I am with group 3 because if you saved peoples genetics, and that person committed a crime they could be tested and put on trial because. But group 4 did make some good points but I am siding with group 3 still.

I agree with both sides, but I thought it was a really good point when Elizabeth said that it can help with genetic diseases. I also thought it was a good point when group 4 said that it is an invasion of privacy. In the rebuddle, they were talking about how identical twins could frame each other, which a genetic database or not, so group 4 took that opportunity and made a good point in saying why do we even have this database if it can't help with this? I thought it was a good point when Elizabeth said that if someone in your family has a genetic disease//disorder, the database can also help you figure out if you have the disease//disorder.

I agree with both Pros and cons. Cons stood out more because of the example Eamon said about how it can lead to abuse of power. Tj also said they could frame people who didn't do the crime and they could single out protesters. I have no clue what making people disappear is about? It would be really difficult to disappear without a trace even with the government's help... But overall it doesn't really matter because the government already has our DNA...

I agree with both sides because like Elizabeth said, "It can help you be more aware with genetic diseases," and like Sara said, "It can help you be more proactive about your health." But like Eamon said, " It can lead to abuse and misuse of the information," and like TJ said, "They can frame people for crimes they didn't do since they have their fingerprints and DNA." I can understand the views of both sides.

The statements about medical help or science research from the pro side gave a strong point to the argument, but on the con side they make a good point that the government can do whatever they want with the DNA. It goes hand in hand, but, personally, I side a little more with the con group.

I disagree with government control of DNA databases. Multiple people on the side opposed to government regulation of DNA brought up how government regulation of DNA is an obvious invasion of privacy, and can bring individuals who were not involved in a crime into a crime scene, but people on the people who support government regulation of DNA databases say that it can help people find lost relatives, and help cure diseases, but the cons outweigh the pros.

I also am not interested in finding lost relatives, and the government could easily prohibit the progress in the advancement in curing diseases.
