This represents Dorian Gray at the beginning of the novel. He is young and beautiful. This shows Dorian before he was corrupted. His soul was untouched and he remained pure. As the novel progressed his soul changes and it is reflected in the portrait.

This represents the portrait after meeting Lord Henry and hanging out with him for a few times. As demonstrated in the photo Dorian's character started to change, and not for the better. He started to view life through the way Lord Henry did. Just like the photo his morals began to shift.

As the story continues Dorian Gray's character becomes more and more corrupted. This is shown through the changes that occur in the portrait. It starts to become old and ugly, just like his soul does in real life. As shown in the photo the portrait almost became unrecognizable. Towards the end of the story Dorian becomes fascinated and obsessed with looking at the portrait and the changes that take place.

Frankenstein is the perfect representation of Dorian Gray at the end of the novel. He has completely morphed into a different person. He is basically no longer human. The character we knew at the beginning of the book is no longer present. By now he has even come to the point of murdering his friend Basil. When Dorian stabs the portrait and they switch places the maids who find Dorian dead are not able to recognize him at all.
