When solving for the missing side length in Trigonometry you use a calculator with 4 steps to it. You first label the triangle and cross out the side with no x or number. Then determine if it´s sin, cos, or tan. Second step, you set up the equation with the angle instead of theta. Third step, you cross multiply the numbers. Lastly, you type what you got when cross multiplying into the desmos calculator which gives you the answer to the missing side length.

Trigonometry is the mathematical study of relations between the magnitudes of the sides and angles of right triangles or triangles with 90 degree angle. The sides of a right triangle adjacent to the right angle are called legs. The side of a right triangle opposite the right angle is called the hypotenuse. Trigonometry is basically a system that helps to work out missing or unknown side lengths and angles in a triangle, more specifically right-angled triangles.

Trigonometry is the study of sides and angles for triangles. its uses for the real world range from cartography, archatecture and to even satilites. It is usefull for calculating angles and seeing how they work. How you use it is very dependent on the type of work you are doing and has a very narrow range of uses.
