It seems that even though a lot of the games for "play" is more game-based learning as opposed to gamification, the students are still playing and learning at the same time whether it's for a quick review or for a badge/medal of some sort at the end of the one game. The idea of "play" is important in incorporating the whole child. Children are supposed to play--they're children, so if we can find things for them to play and learn at the same time, it's a win-win. Programs like the Jeopardy PPT or the Food Web Builder from Legednds of learning was both interactive and educational.

Math at the mall though shows math problems on a medium that is not just a pencil and pen adding flair and something to look at. The game encompasses life experiences that may happen to a student in real life. Just a simple addition of a game makes the math a lot more interesting.
