  • According to information from BBC NEWS Local governments don't support the festival, but some private companies pay so much money for it. Selling dog meat is legal, besides, 10 million dogs are slain every year in China. Also roughly 1000 cats and dogs are killed in festivals. there are protests against the festival, however They don't nothing but attract attention for more people to come and try the festival. In addition Local governments are aware of the violence going on in the festival. They just ignore it. I think it is almost unstoppable.

When they understand having a pet needs so many responsibilities, they find the solution as abandoning animals that they have. As a human, we should clearly think about adopting animals. If we do not that, animals will suffer in shelters or streets. Streets are full of dangers and hard for living for most domestic animal because they can not protect themselves from the outer world.  Shelters are also bad for them because they have already filled up with other animals.
