BBC One Ident - Hippos

The BBC One ident is one of the main introductions of this channel. When we see this on screen we don't see the traditional red, but the hippos are making that circle which represents the '0' for the BBC.

Links in with nature which is mainly show on this channel as it well known, for the nature type documentaries. As we know this is a very popular aspect, a voice over is included to introduce the programme as background music is playing over this.

Film 4 - Exploding Shack Ident

The ident changes the feel and the mood as it carries through, non-diegetic sound is used only.

The ident has a tone of suspense and action, as we see a man running towards the camera as the shack explodes.

We do not expect this to happen as there are mixed themes involved, with a carm feel to begin and then changes to an action feel.

The ident shows that this channel is about action, and is dedicated to 'films' showing how dynamic and suspense that this puts across.

This is used to try to enable larger audiences to watch the upcoming film, where we see a carm voice that is clear so we can understand what is being said.

Reflects to shots from an action film, which this company tend to show with 'both gender' targeted audiences. We see the white brand logo with contrasts well with the fire in the background which makes this look powerful and effective.

The ident looks expensive, this has been done to try and make it cinematic and as real as possible.
