*The most common cause of student misbehavior, in my opinion, is lack of discipline and leadership in the home.
*When students misbehave, a teacher should respond with trying to figure out why that student is misbehaving in the first place because punishing a student without knowing the cause of the misbehavior is counterproductive, and holds no true resolution to the problem.
*As a parent or guardian of a misbehaving child, you should find the root cause of the misbehavior and deal with it accordingly.
*As a child, I never misbehaved in class because I knew that if I did and they had to call/tell my parents, my parents would be very angry/disappointed in me and rather had not go through that. It was understood in my house that we are to never misbehave in school for fear of punishment.
*The aspect of comprehensive classroom management that I am most skilled at would be organisational skills. I am a very organised person and it is hard fr me to be disorganized do to my slight OCD.

When it comes to managing behaviors in the classroom, I believe that it is better to get to the root of a behavior problem through hard work, than to just punish the student in order to move on with other students. I believe that just punishing them is extremely counter productive and very unhelpful to not only your classroom, but to the next classroom and teacher that that student will move on to.
