After he found out that Morrie has ASL, he rushes over to Boston to visit Morrie. Mitch and Morrie decided to see each other every Tuesday. Morrie teaches Mitch life lessons every Tuesday. It is a terminal illness as there is no cure. However there is medication and therapy patients can take to slow ALS down and reduce discomfort.
