Since we had to leave early to catch the bus, we woke up at about 5:30 in the morning. After waking up, we freshened ourselves up and went downstairs to have our breakfast at about 6:00. We checked out of our hotel at 6:30 and boarded the bus at about 7:00. Our journey in the bus was short but comfortable. Then, we started walking towards our destination. Everything seemed fine at first but the more we walked, the more weather became disagreeable. The entirety of our three hours long journey, it rained heavily which was immensely difficult on us as we had to carry our bags with us while we walked. Nevertheless we reached our destination, Bhedabari. After arriving, we were warmly welcomed by the locals of the village. Later, we were divided into groups and assigned into different houses. Following our room distribution, we washed up and quickly ate our lunch which was provided by the family of the house we were staying in. Seeing that all of us were extremely tired, we took a brief nap for about an hour or two. Afterwards we were briefed on our task to interview the residents of the village. After all the interviews were done, we took a leisurely stroll down the road and roamed around the village. After coming back, we rested a bit more. Then we had our dinner by the campfire and dispersed to our respective rooms.

We spent our last night at the hotel mercury ,putalibazar. We started our day by waking up at 5 :30 am ,ate breakfast at 6:30 and we hopped on our bus. We reached our hiking spot at 8:00. Just as we started to walk, it rained cats and dogs. Due to the heavy rain we had difficulty walking.The hike was almost three hours. Due to the rainy weather, we experienced many hurdles as we were carrying our own bags. After many struggles, we reached at our main destinations which was bhedabari, syangja. We were welcomed with flowers and tika by the locals of the village. Then we were assigned our designated houses. As we were all exhausted, we washed up, quickly ate our lunch and took a long nap. Following that, we interviewed some people about their lifestyle and their daily life. Later, we walked around the village and clicked some pictures. Eventually we made our way back and spend our entire evening chatting with each other. Soon we had our dinner and were dismissed to our specific houses.

As we woke up early at 5:30 am, greeted by the dim morning light. Despite the weather, excitement for the day’s journey stirred me awake. We took a bus to Lampata. It started to pour down heavily as soon as we started our three hours hike. The rain made the trail muddy and slippery, adding to the challenge. By the end, we were all thoroughly soaked and exhausted. Then we finally arrived at the Bhedabhari Homestay around noon. The warmth and coziness of the homestay were a welcome contrast to damp the damp and cold outside. After settling, we took a hearty lunch and took rest. And in the evening, we went for a walk. Later, all of our friends gathered to make plans for tomorrow. The conversation was filled with excitement and anticipation for what lay ahead. We ended the night around campfire, enjoying music and the warmth of the flames. The day’s exhaustion melted away as we sang and talked into the night.

On monday we walk up at 5 :30 am on morning then we have breakfast after that we went to syangja village by hiking neary 3 hors at hills then we finally reach the village. Then after reaching we take rest for 2 hrs after that we went to speaks to locals in the village about village life and culture we found out that in villages people work very hard in every day they do agriculture for living thay said tgat life in village is difficult but they are happy they live here peacefully.

It was really fun and new experience. Although it was hard for some of us we still did it.

This day we woke up at 5:00am for a three-hour hike from putalibazaar to bhedabari which was an amazing experience. we were kindly invited and got allocated to houses. Later we went for a survey to know more about the people in this community. Overall it was a fun and an exhausting day.

We played with kids and introduced ourselves to each other. We went for sight seeing.

We woke up and got ready to hike to school of syangja. It took about 30 mins to reach there.After we reached the school we were warmly welcomed with tika and flowers.Later we were assigned classes and we taught,played and enjoyed with the children there. On our way back we stayed in the viewpoint for lunch and returned to our home stay. After we returned we freshened up and played badminton with our friends. As the weather got gloomy we returned to our home and then ended the day with campfire and dinner.-Teesa Shrestha

On our third day, we woke at 7:30. Today, we were supposed to visit the school of daraun, Syanja. The weather was so clear and sunny. It was one hour hike to the school. When we reached at the school , we were welcomed with tikas and flowers by the principal of the school. We taught them many new words, played many game’s.

We started the third day by waking up at about 7:30. Then we had our brunch and departed to the school. The journey up there took about 30 minutes. It was not an easy hike as it was uphill the whole way. After getting there we were warmly welcomed by the teaching staff of the school. Then we were assigned to groups and were designated to different classrooms to interact with the students of those classes. During those classes, we connected with the students by participating in several activities. After completing the classes, we took off to our second destination which was a hill overlooking the entirety of Syangja. Then after we came back to the home stay, we rested and then after a while, we had our dinner by the campfire. After dinner, we were dispersed to our respective houses.

We started our day by waking up at 7:30. Today, we were supposed to visit the school at darau, Syanja. It was one hour hike to the school. The weather was very sunny. We were welcomed with tikas and flowers. Students were very polite and friendly. We played many new games with them, we also taught them many synonyms.

Today we woke up at around 7:30 am, freshened up and had brunch. Later we all gathered and discussed about today’s schedule. Then it took us about half an hour to reach to the school. After getting there, we we’re welcomed by the school with tikas and malas. After that, we were separated into groups and assigned to different classes. In those classes, we interacted with the students by playing various icebreaker activities. Then we left the school and walked around ten minutes to a hill where we ate some snacks and took in the natural beauty around us. After we left the hill and we came back to the houses where we rested and washed up. Then around 8:30, we ate our dinner beside the campfire.

Today we walk up at 5:3am and we fresh up after that we enjoy our breakfast and the we walk neary 3 hors at the hills to go to the school their principal welcome us by putting tika and giving flowers after that we meet the children we taugh to them english and we even plays games I also made vedio we have lost of fun their the children wear very sweet and cute we have lost of fun with them after that we left the school at 1:3 pm angang we walk a lot then we reach to the hills and had our snacks and after that we reach to our home stay and we take rest

Day 4

Todaywe walk up at 6:20 am and we fresh up we had our breakfast after that we get ready to go for high king it was neary 3 hors to reach to school we had lostof fun their we donated school bag and pencil to the children we play with them . After that at 4: 35 pm we received an honor form the school we get our certificate and we even put tika and got a flower after that we ate our snacks at school and it started raining so we stay at school for a while after the rain sot we walk and 3 hours to reach our home stay and then we take rest

I woke up at 5 AM today, the chill in the air reminding me of how high up we were. The early morning quiet was peaceful.I spent some time talking with the locals. Their stories and warm smiles gave me a deeper appreciation for the place and its people. Breakfast was simple but satisfying.

By 7 AM, we started our hike up to the school, which took about 30 minutes. The trail was steep but beautiful, with the surrounding scenery providing a perfect backdrop for our climb. When we reached the school, we were greeted by eager students and teachers.Our main activities today included donating various study materials and assisting with a free health camp organized for the community. The children were delighted with the new books and supplies, and it felt rewarding . Helping at the health camp was equally fulfilling, as we were able to contribute to the well-being of the students.Around late afternoon, the school held a farewell for us. They expressed their gratitude with heartfelt speeches, It was touching, and I felt a deep connection with everyone there. We were provided with certificate which meant appreciation to our service ,they also served us snacks, which were delicious and provided a nice break from our activities.The weather changed suddenly. Dark clouds rolled in, and a big storm erupted with heavy rain and strong winds. Despite the storm, we had to hike downhill for about 20 minutes.Once back at our homestay, we gathered with friends for a get-together. The storm had passed, leaving the air fresh and cool. We ended the day with a campfire and dinner. I went to bed tired but happy, reflecting on the impact we had made and the connections we had formed.

Waking up early in the morning in the arms of the nature, we felt the air pass through our souls. We got up at 7:30 and freshened ourselves up and enjoyed the breakfast with light sunny day. The day was sunny as the previous one and we hiked our way up to the school for 30 mins. The trail was quite steep but was fun to hike on. We were heartily welcomed by the students which expressed their bond with us. Our main activities today included stationery distribution and help in the free health camp. The children were happy and expressed their gratitude among us during the farewell they conducted for us. They appreciated how we were and how we treated them for 2 days and our contribution for them by giving an emotional speech. Later we were provided with snacks and which provided a nice break from our activities. And one thing we noticed is the fact that those students had to walk up to the school daily in this rough trail. There is not much facility of vehicles as the road was rough and challenging. We all felt really empathetic towards the students as they all had to walk up the hill daily even though the frequent change of weather. Some of the student’s house was really far from the school and knowing that it takes them almost 2-3 hours to reach the school by walking was a shock for us as we never experienced that and never even thought about it. Later when we were about to hike back to our homestay the weather suddenly changed into a dark and storm. We walked down the trail even tho it was raining .We reached back to our homestay. The weather was back to normal which was cool and fresh. By 9pm we completed dinner and all of our friends stayed and enjoyed campfire.

We got up at about seven this morning. After eating lunch, we hiked up to the school, which took about half an hour.The kids graciously invited us over.We donated variety of things to kids in kindergarten to grade 11.Additionally, we collaborated with Swacon Hospital to host a health camp. In just two days, we were able to form a bond with the students there.We received certificates.We were bid farewell at the end of the day. We had to spend some time there because it was raining.We then hiked back down to our homes.This day will always be etched in my memory.

With a heavy heart waking up in the Syangja bhedabari homestay,a sunny morning welcomed us.There were mixed emotions as we were loved by the people here and leaving them was hard .We freshened up and had our brunch and started our hike to the school.The trail we followed to hike was different and steep but the view was worth the steps we walked.Finally we reached the school and started our community service act.Our group was divided into two halves where i was assigned for the health camp activity.

We then ended the work and were given certificates and they bid us goodby.We were about to return but the heavy rainfall blocked our way so we stayed in the school for a few minutes until the rain stopped.We hiked our way back when the rain was light and made our way to the homestay .It started raining heavily but this time we enjoyed it with music and finally ended the day with campfire and light dinner.

I woke up today with a heavy heart as it was our last day here. Nonetheless waking up felt refreshing as we still had to embark on a transformative journey to the school. After waking up, I freshened myself up and had a filling breakfast as we had a long journey ahead. When I start waking today, I didn’t feel tired or out of breath, instead I recounted the moments of the previous day. After getting there, we started to sort out the items that were donated. Then after given them, we also helped in the health program. At the end, we were given a memorable and warm farewell by the school staff as well as the students. Afterwards we ate a satisfying snack in the school whilst it rained. After the rain stopped, we came back and spent the rest of the day in the house. Later we had light dinner by the bonfire and tuned out for the night. This trip taught me the importance of community collaboration and the profound impact of small acts of kindness.

•again started our hike for half an hour towards the school

•reached to the school around 10:00 am

•planned and organized donation items with groups

•donated items to the students of particular classes (from nursery to grade 11)

•mingled with the students/ chatted with them & had lots of fun

•had photo session with the children

•stopped at the school for some snacks

•due to the bad weather condition, we were unable to hike back to our stay. So, we waited for about 1 hr

•we then stared our hike back to the guesthouse at around 5:30 pm

•reached our place after 45 mins of hike

•had snacks and relaxed

•had dinner & attended the campfire

•ended the night at around 12:00 pm
