1.
the bomber aircraft was designed to fly above targets and infiltrate the enemy's infrastructure, this would slow down the production of goods as well as slow . done the movement of the enemy's troops. Bombers were incredibly important as they would destroy enemy infrastructure and movement of troops easily and efficiently with hardly and casualties. they were also used to kill any citizens and this was a strategy that would force the government to give up so that all of their citizens would die
2.
Bombing of Dresden, during World War II, Alliedbombing raids on February 13–15, 1945, that almost completely destroyed the German city of Dresden. The raids became a symbol of the “terror bombing” campaign against Germany, which was one of the most controversial Allied actions of the war.
4.
-> huge parachuted mines were also dropped
-> first bombing raid in ww2 was in october 16, 1939

1. An aircraft carrier is a ship whose primary purpose is to bring airplanes closer to distant battle areas. It was necessary to bring the aircraft to the battlefront, and so using a ship to do so made a lot of sense in the Pacific where much of the fighting took place on islands and coastal areas.
2. The effectiveness of large aircraft carriers was demonstrated early in the war, when dozens of Japanese fighters and bombers, launched from aircraft carriers, decimated the U.S Pacific fleet at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in late 1941.
4. Fun Facts:
- Aircraft carriers evolved from large naval ships or cruise liners, which were fitted with landing strips built on their decks. The first true aircraft carriers were developed by the Japanese in the 1920's. However the design was still in its infancy - the Wright Brothers had only recently achieved the first powered and controlled flight of an airplane in 1903.
- The size of the ships were massive and carried almost 3,000 crewmembers. The largest WW2 aircraft carriers were capable of launching over 100 aircrafts and measured up to 800 feet (245 meters) long and 100 feet (30 meters) wide.
3. A fighter aircraft is a military aircraft designed primarily for air-to-air combat against other aircraft, as opposed to bombers and attack aircraft, whose main mission is to attack ground targets. The most famous fighter aircraft used in the Battle of Britain were the British Hawker Hurricane and Supermarine Spitfire Mk I and the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 E variant (Emil) single-engined fighters.
Fun factsm:
-In WW2 Russian fighter pilot T.Kuznetsov flew himself home after being shot down.
-Durin WW2 while parachuting an American was shot in the head by a sidearm.
-There were about 70 different aircrafts used in the war.
-The germans were the first to use a machine gun to the side of a plane.
-A very famous air fighter was Red Baron he had acheived 80 victories in the sky.
