The “Trans-Saharan Trade” routes have impacted the African trade routes and history largely. The reason this worked effectively is because of camels. Camels are the main reason because they can last in the desert easier than humans and can help people travel farther than a human by them self. The Trans-Saharan Trade routes helped get many important things to other places to trade for the growth of empires. This route had many trade ports that allowed people to stop along the way than to go all the way across the Sahara desert.

The reason many people traveled in caravans is that if something happened to one person many people could help that specific person. It also impacted Ancient African history by letting people have access to more trade and materials to grow with. This would lead to the growth many major empires in Africa. The Trans-Saharan Trade routes led all over the desert. It roughly took about 40 days to travel the desert from stop to stop.

One of the first things he did was to divide the empire into provinces. If he didnt he would probably had to spend more money and it could have caused more chaos. He put a governor in charge of each province. Each village had a mayor. Because he couldn’t conquer all of the villagers because there would have to be more power and more power comes with more responsibilities. Business that affected the empire was done by Mansa Musa and his advisors. The day to day problems were handled locally. Mansa Musa did not turn his back on his people.

Most historians think Africa's history started with the Bantu people , A group of African language speakers (Bantu languages) that originally lived in the notch of western Africa. In around 1500 B.C.E., the Bantu speakers stumbled upon the domestication of yams and bananas. Just like wheat did in Mesopotamia and Egypt and rice did in India and China, having a stable supply of food made dramatic changes for the Bantu. They began domesticating goats around the same time, as well. The way we know this is through the Bantu languages. While there are about 500 Bantu languages, all modern languages have common words for farming and several domesticated animals.
the Bantu are an ancient group of people from Africa, whose origins are unclear. Some of the people from West Africa traversed from the Congo or Niger Delta Basin to become the main inhabitants of East and South Africa. They migrated slowly, such as in small groups and in the process of traveling they became known no longer as West Africans, but rather the Bantu, which translates as “The People.” They migrated within the years of 1000-1800 AD. There are several hypothesis as to why the Bantu moved; one being that the population simply became too large and thusly forced some to move and practice agriculture; another is that they were searching for fertile land. When the Bantu met hostile tribes they used iron weapons, which they developed around 400 A.D. When they reached their destination, some of the Bantu in South Africa married the pre-existing people there, who were known as the Khoikhoi and the San people. During their transition from nomads to settlers they adapted farming and keeping livestock, but those who wished to remain hunters and gatherers were forced off the farming land and into the desert. Many people did not migrate with the Bantu, such as the people of modern Mali, which are dated to have been there by 250 B.C.E. The Bantu helped develop the land to which they moved by introduce new foods, such as millet and sorghum. It has also been speculated that they introduced iron smelting and iron tools. They have grown to about 60 million linguistically related people.

The most important part or the trade route is how much wealth it brought to west African empires. It helped developed the cities while also developing the trade center.

So many people traded so many things some would trade salt for gold. Other big stuff that was traded a lot is ivory, kole nuts, cloth, slaves, metal goods and beads. He was on the way to the holy city of Mecca he would take people and camels along with the great deal of gold.
