Identifying the problems of the research and how the problem definition process fits into the research. The most interesting sub topic covered in this unit for me was the literature review. The research design outlines the plan of action with the methods and procedures which researchers will go about using while conducting a study. There are qualitative research which is about data of a narrative nature, quantitative research involve data of a numerical nature and mixed research methods entails both narrative and numerical data.  My research proposal would be based on a qualitative point of view. I do plan ensuring that the used would contain the  the three essential criteria (reliability, validity and sensitivity). Also after completing the discussion for the week about sampling I am fully of what it is, the process and the basic steps. It was divided into three parts. The data gather comes from two sources namely primary and secondary. Data can be gathered through perception or questionnaire review in a characteristic. Secondary data is the data acquired from optional sources like magazines, books, documents, journals, reports and the web etc. Primary data is data that is gather with the end goal of research venture. It is otherwise called raw information. I now know that data can be defined as the quantitative or qualitative values of a variable. Data collection is considered to be one of the most important and vital aspect of any research studies. Primary data is more reliable, authentic and objective. Primary data is not changed or altered by human beings; therefore its validity is greater than secondary data. My research proposal would contain primary data mostly with some secondary data which will be in the literature review. The final part was about the roles of fieldworkers and managers. As well as the qualities and skills required by fieldworkers such as being honest and having integrity. After reading this unit I could see myself as a fieldworker as I do possess most of the qualities. I did not think data collection had had any thing to do with fieldworkers. So that is a new piece of information learnt. What I have learnt about data collection will definitely help me to analyse data information when doing all research n a whole from now on. I also think it would help to understand what the source of data is and how to interpret the data in my endeavours.

How to formulate concise question without influencing the interviewer and the respondents to give a bias feedback. This unit would have help start and finish the questionnaire which I am conducting for my research project. I am now of the opinion that choosing to use closed ended questions would make it easier analyze the data to be display in graphs for the findings. It was easy to read and decipher. I am familiar with using Microsoft words and excel so this unit help refresh my memory. I did enjoy completing the graded discussion for the week although I unable to used my graph in my post. Due to the difficult of not saving the excel sheet after creating the graph and not recreating a new graph because of the time. I have learnt to always save the document that has the necessary information needed in particularly graphs. This unit was short but it covered a vast among of information pertained quantitative and qualitative data analysis. However, I managed to push through and I applied what was learnt in course guide. 
I got to complete the proposal but I feel I could have done much better work if I had more time. It was a great experience and I felt that I have truly learnt a lot from this course which I know will aid in the remaining courses at the university of the open campus. The presentation was easy to complete because of the prior group one conducted. I am relieved that I have done all that was requested of me to ensure that I am not leaving this course the same way as I was in the beginning. I am confident that I have learnt most of the objectives which was indeed be of utmost importance in obtaining my bachelor degree from the university of the west indies open campus. I have gratitude to my family, friends, peers, e-tutor and the CC for helping me to make it to the finishing line.
