Leverage a range of evolving digital technologies to collaborate, co-create, and problem solve with diverse learners and experts across the globe in real time and in different environments.

Use real-world and mathematical problems to analyze data and demonstrate an understanding of statistical variability and measures of center.

Future-focused:

Students will be able to use technology to analyze real-world data, create visual representations, and distinguish between the measures of center to determine the best measure. Students will be able to create a brief presentation using the data to support a given argument.

Why? It’s no longer enough for students to be able to only complete the mathematical procedures, but they must also be able to interpret their results and present their findings for others.

Why the Change?

Maps aren't just paper anymore. Today, we use GPS, satellite images, and real-time data to understand our world. This updated standard helps students learn how to use modern tools to think about where things are, why they're there, and how places affect each other—skills that matter in school, jobs, and everyday life.
