Have you ever seen a globe? If you have then you know that most of the Earth is water and if one plane goes missing it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Two thirds of the planes on the missing flight were born in China, the rest were from other countries such as Malaysia, America, the United Kingdom, and many other countries. The motives for crashing the plane if that is what happened remain unclear. Malaysia’s key ally, China are very angry at the government and they are doing as much as possible to help find the missing flight since so many people from China went missing.

The prime minister of Malaysia has confirmed that the Malaysian air defense controllers picked up the plane U turning and they now know that it crashed in the Indian Ocean near Australia. Search teams are hoping to pick up signals from black boxes (which are actually red) by towing hydrophones slowly through that ocean near Australia. According to CNN Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States are assisting in the search for the missing flight. France is also hoping to lend expertise in the field of looking for missing flights since they spent 2 years looking for an Air France Airbus that crashed in 2009.

In the search, boats are using towed pinger locators to listen for the pings. Military aircraft and many other aviation search teams have been scouring the area for possible debris of the crash. If the Australian search ship, Ocean Shield can confirm previously detected signals then they can launch an autonomous mini-submarine called Bluefin-21 to look for wreckage underwater.

March 8, 2014 Malaysian Airlines
Flight MH370 vanished from the air traffic control radars, 17 minutes later
air traffic controllers started to notice. What would you
do if someone in your family went missing? I would do everything I could do to
find them, but the Malaysian Government and the airline is telling family
members to head home and wait for news. The airline informed the families of
those missing by texting them, there are many angry relatives staying in nearby
hotels where they have been given brief updates on the search and what the airline
think happened. The disappearance of Flight MH370 and how
Malaysia handled it was very poor due to a lack of experience in disaster
situations, now Malaysia is being criticized by different countries including their key ally China.

What do you think we should do to prevent events like this? I would want the airline to check their pilots driving and have tests that they have to take so that in the event of an emergency they would know how to signal for help. Everyone wants to fly safely on a trip and nobody wants a remake of 911. Wouldn't you want to ensure your safety? After all you life lies in the hands of a two people and it only takes one to crash a plane. As for the government issue we should let this be a lesson to many people because I am sure that most people don't like being criticized. In the future I think that country leaders should prepare them selves for emergency situations like this both mentally and they should physically have a plan written out for them
