Earthgang's ability to portray hope and determination in the face of hard times is truly uplifting. Their groovy soulful spin on trap influenced Atlanta beats sets their records apart, and the way they are able to showcase love and adversity makes me want to strive to chase my own dreams. Their genrebending style, influence and outlet which mixes singing and rapping as well as everything inbetween teaches me not to define myself within all these compartments and walls that I set for myself, rather to express my whole spectrum of identity. His music have really helped me through some rough times, and his idea of music being this amazing healing and uplifting force to help others and yourself is something I really cherish. His deeply spiritual approach, having studied the ways of buddhism and ancient hindu traditions for years, encourages me to stay true to my own journey and heal my own traumas. Hall's music gives me this tribal feel of earthly connection and a belonging to something greater then myself. His folk indie style of music and genrebending freedom when it comes to records inspires me to be free with my own creative expression. His vulnerability and honesty makes me feel more open and in touch with my sensitivity. His happy, playful lyrics inspires me to tap into my own source of joy and laughter, and to not take everything so serious. His uniqueness encourages letting my own expression freely unfold, whilst staying true to who I am. Another thing that deeply uplifts me is Chance's independent route. Being able to make it big, without selling your music, without signing to a major label. Releasing mixtapes and a lot of free music is an amazing way of just getting your work out there. Total creative freedom without compromising your own identity is beautiful and super inspiring. His sampling and choir gospel sounding base is something I really admire. The way he is fundraising and devoloping strong communities in his home city of Chicago is an exceptional way of giving back and spreading love.
