I am interested in best practice for personalization outside of the classroom. I know we have tools like IXL to help with this, but what other tools are effective? This also makes me think about a "flipped classroom" and how effective that could be in a Language Arts classroom.

In Social Studies, specifically, there is a large amount of research and writing required. Students read and write and internalize meaning at varying paces and I have found it difficult to make sure that all students are actively engaged at all times. I love how students learn how to control their pace and place but am not sure how they could manage the content they are learning. I find myself giving many opportunities for students to manage their pace and place but always control the content they are learning...

It is helpful for me to think about how I learn best and how I can utilize those tactics at work. As an administrator it makes me curious about how we learn together faculty/staff-wise and how we can think about that in our exchanges, planning and general inter-personal connection.
