The last sentence of the plan stuck out to me. I am interested in best practice for personalization outside of the classroom. I know we have tools like IXL to help with this, but what other tools are effective? This also makes me think about a "flipped classroom" and how effective that could be in a Language Arts classroom.
I'd also like to be more intentional about assessing based on these 21st Century Skills which, to me, is a more realistic way to asses, especially if the point of schooling is to prepare them for the real world.

At Sophia we value experiential learning experiences and I look forward to being informed about how to personalize these experiences so that students feel engaged.

Starting in early childhood, students have access to personalized learning experiences that are experiential, blended, flexible, and differentiated; as a result of these experiences, students will be able to control the pace, place, and content of their learning experience while meeting state and local requirements. In Social Studies, specifically, there is a large amount of research and writing required. Students read and write and internalize meaning at varying paces and I have found it difficult to make sure that all students are actively engaged at all times. It seems that this may allow not only additional support tools for students while they are working on assignment ie: I can actually view, through Padlet, where a student may be having difficulty, but I can also increase individualized learning for those working at a faster pace.
