There is a pet show in Archie's neighborhood and he decides to enter his cat in the competition. The only problem is, he can't find his cat! Someone else ends up with the blue ribbon for the cat he lost. I feel like this book would be good for helping children to lean responsibility. This is a very cute story with intriguing pictures and fun characters with a very interesting story line.

There is not a plot or a main character, it is simply a book with A through Z words about goats. Good for early readers and children that are still learning the alphabet.

There is a bird that is sitting on what seems to be a lily pad and he is enjoying the day alone on his perch. Then around five more animals all come join him on the perch as well. Every time a new animals comes, they use their very best manners and say pardon me, but the bird is getting more and more annoyed. Then a fox comes along and tries to warn them about something, but this is the last straw for the bird and he screams at all of the animals, who then all leave. He gets to enjoy the perch into the night and then he realizes what he thought was a lily pad is actually an alligator and he gets eaten. This is a book with language for beginning readers, and content as well since it involves animals. It would also be suitable for a class learning to make predictions.

Her family has a farm and the house catches on fire and her mother and new born baby later die from the injuries she sustained in the fire. Billie Jo and her father go through an emotionally depressing time and detach from each other and the other people in their lives. In the end everything gets better and they move forward.
