But  I have recently taken up volleyball for fun. It’s a team game and for now it seems to me very entertaining and engaging! 

It was last Friday when I took part in my first game against the other school’s team. 

In the middle of the game the judge  came up and said to me: “Do you feel like playing?” I was astonished.  To tell the truth, I have been dreaming of appearing on the pitch and beating the rivals. So, he let me join in the game because one of the boys hurt his ankle and the judge sent him off the field to the doctor’s. I was excited, though a bit frightened . Even though, I carried on playing and felt really pleased with myself. 

I am quite good at volleyball. I love the atmosphere at the field. Every player  is crazy about winning the match! Moreover, everybody  supports each other. 

I have learned a lot from playing volleyball and made new good friends. It’s a great way of improving your social skills because you have to communicate and play together in order to win! In addition to that volleyball as a team game also teaches me to control my  emotions and stay calm during the match. Its really important to me. I feel like I’ve grown since I started playing volleyball.

6. We were waiting outside the stadium for a long time before they finally let us in. 

7. At the cinema mum sat on the right , dad sat on the left and I sat in the middle.

8. Ed doesn’t want to become a professional footballer. He just does it for fun.
