The north had segregation, as well as the south, but in the south, there was even more segregation. There was segregation for buses, seating, restaurants, bathrooms, water fountains, etc. While in the north there was segregation for schooling, housing, and even deployment.

Blacks in the north were allowed to vote but the votes were always rigged on the other hand blacks in the south were not allowed to vote. By the 1960 all blacks by law were allowed to vote, but people refuse to let them vote

In the south there was lots of violence. In the north there wasn’t as much violence. In the south there were waves of riots and horrible violence meanwhile in the north there was minor waves of violence, but still harmful.
