His style mixes traditional and digital 
animation with real world backgrounds. 
For me the idea of mixing 2D animation with the real world is amazing because of the possibilities of interactions and the fact the you can bring a character to life very easily and make it relatable. 
One interesting thing that Pinot does is that he uses camera traveling to create the sense of deepness and a impression of 3D in his animations. He does that with stop motion by moving the camera in each frame and drawing the subject in a different perspective.
