Due to poverty and inequality of income in India, a large number of people are homeless in our country. Illiteracy leads to very limited opportunities to earn money. The government of India is unable to provide basic amenities like home, food, education etc to poor people which is why poor people are homeless.

While I walk on the roads of Delhi, I realize that there is homelessness all around the city. There are small kids lying on the roadside because their mothers are busy constructing roads or begging on the red lights. My heart starts pumping when I see this and I start counting my blessings. God is so gracious that He has blessed me with all good things in life. But this brings lot of responsibility on us as a good citizen of the country. We need to help and support these people in every way we can because be it small or big, we all can make a difference. I am doing my bit by distributing food and fruits to homeless children on every Sunday. My church organizes a program called Nimantran, to provide food and clothing to all homeless people around that area. We participate actively in organising this program and we also contribute money to make their living a little better experience. Also, we provide monthly ration to a widow who cannot earn money and lead her livelihood.
I encourage each one of you to contribute to the society by doing your bit.
