Tommaso di Giovanni di Mone Cassai named Masaccio was an Italian fourteenth-century painter. In spite of the brevity of its life, its work had a decisive importance in the history of the painting.


Date of birth: December 21, 1401, San Giovanni Valdarno, Italy.
Date of death: 1428, Rome, Italy
Periods: Renaissance, Italian Renaissance
Most famous work: La Trinidad is his most famous work 1426-1428. 
Made the fresco of the Trinity in one of the side walls of the Florentine church of Santa Maria Novella. This mural makes use of the theory of perspective for the first time.
