The Hawkesbury River was a nice place for a short walk and a barbecue. The roasted chicken with mushrooms and capsicums was so nice, though I ate too much and still felt full on Friday night. I just couldn't stop! I think an excursion always lets me gain new knowledge about Australia, such as paperbarks, and mangroves, which makes me feel happy when I see them again.

The day before the excursion, I was thinking of the journey tomorrow. I expected it would be warmer. We felt very comfortable on the train, however, when we arrived there it was very windy. Everyone felt really cold because of the strong wind.
First of all, we had a walk along the path which leads to a small park by the Hawkesbury River. We also went on a wooden walkway and observed the river, paperback trees, mangroves and so on. 
Secondly, we came to a suitable place where we set up for our BBQ 🍗 and had lunch together. Some of us, including Jenny, Shogo and Han really enjoyed the food 😃🤣. Some of us including Helen and Razan sat near the river, and did not have lunch because they were interested in the river. Several other girls loved to take photos with bright, happy faces. I also remembered that my stomach was very full😁. With my full stomach, I decided to have a walk around after lunch and get the chance to speak with our lovely teacher, Deborah. 
All of us seem to enjoy our day, forgetting about the earlier feelings we had about the cold, because we had an awesome day and a memorable excursion together. It is my hope that this might happen more often in the future.

Last Friday. We went outside to barbecue together. That’s great plan. With the white clouds. Blue sky and fresh air. Made me full of energy. We looked for paperbacks and mangroves to take pictures. After we have barbecue with other classmates and teachers. That’s perfect day and I expect to next .

I must say that it is a great place to relax and enjoy a peaceful environment. The water in the river is very clear and there were many beautiful birds flying over the waves. Occasionally a few ships passed by on the river. There is a swimming pool by the riverside, and I sat on the walkway around the perimeter of the pool with Razan and enjoyed the sights. I think that a river, a song, a beautiful view and a good friend are enough for all day. We faced the beautiful river, felt the strong wind and talked about the past and our hopes for the future. On this day I thought a lot about my life. I don't think regretting the past and dreading the future is valuable. Just live in the present and enjoy it. Hovever, I enjoyed talking with friends and eating delicious food. Also, the Hawkesbury River has a stunning view, picturesque nature, and many kinds of birds, so i think it will remain one of the best memories in my life. I would like to go there again!

Some people were responsible for washing vegetables and others were responsible for cutting and cooking. It was breezy by the river, but we enjoyed the delicious food. I think it's a good place for a party.

Furthermore, we went to see some plants and animals such as Mangrove trees and birds including brush turkeys, seagulls and pelicans. After our walk, we had a barbecue and we helped each other to make it. Actually, we really appreciated our barbecue place because we had a nice view of the area and also could walk around.  Although the weather was cold and windy, I thought it was better than being too hot.

I arrived one hour earlier than other classmates because I was confused about starting time. That day was a windy day and very very very cold but when I saw that river and wonderful sky, I felt freedom. The BBQ party on that day was awesome. It was the best meal I have ever eaten, especially the BBQ chicken !! Thanks to the lovely cooks. Also Jenny and I chatted and told our stories in Korean. Sorry to other classmates because they couldn't understand. After the excursion, I was able to take a rest before working! It was a perfect day for me and I hope it was the same for other classmates.
