In South Korea I could see a lot of foreigners are traveling along the city to see the beauty of Korea. Their customs only pertain to when there is a special occasion, but it is told that children has to take care of their parents when they're older. Also, that the young ones has to respect elders. So in places where there are a family gathering at places (companies, restaurants, etc.). Mostly in South Korea, you can go where whatever you want, but seeing the people out on the streets are always pretty fashionable. The popular fashion is worn by models so they would wear some of the popular trends. Models are modeled for you to see it but what I saw was that idols/actors/actresses of some sort do model for fans both international wise to follow the new and stylish fashion upcoming for the season. It seems as if Korean fashion is somewhat the same as American fashion too. So you will see a lot of different people with different kinds of characteristics wherever and whenever you are in South Korea.

City Walks in Seoul & Countrysides: What I saw

In South Korea, the streets are very busy, but towards the end of the night, the city's scenery are unbelievably outstanding. Cars lights illuminate the city lights and traffic lights making the city brighter and making it be the sight seeing of our future lives ahead of us. Children and adults travel back to urban cities and or villages in the country side of South Korea to visit elders or other family members. Around the areas of the countryside, you can see lots of natural green grasslands and crops grown to ship to the cities. The country side is very vibrate and aesthetic. it is like another form of beauty of the city. The differences between my hometown Boise, Idaho, USA and South Korea are the bigger cities (mostly the capital city Seoul), populous places, famous idols/actors/actress, food, and homes in South Korea. I saw so many food stands out around the night markets and all selling some of the most convenient food they can make.

The noises in South Korea are more uproar than Idaho. There are music played all around town and around the streets. Some music are played on the streets because of dance off competitions competed by teens vs. other teens. More car honking noises are heard all around the city. It's a lot louder at places with lots of people. Usually some other noises are from children having fun at the theme parks with their families and all. The languages spoken there is Korean and English at the most. Some other languages are also spoken like the languages of South Korea's neighboring countries and or the foreigner's language. It was nice listening to Koreans speak their language since it was interesting in how they pronounce things differently than Americans do and what I am used to hearing.

I stayed at Park Hyatt Hotel that was in Seoul. The hotel was a very nice high class hotel. They served mouth watering delicious cuisines and well made designed dessert cakes. I ate one of there top patisserie sweets made with mocha and vanilla, spicy hot pot, different marinated beef, and lots of other things. The service served me in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and also snacks in between. I had a very nice stay there admiring the view outside my room of the city. It was nice there since I got a comfy and warm beauty sleep on the beds at the hotels. It was like the dream hotel I could ever imagine. Not only the place that I stayed at was a very convenient way to travel to places around Seoul.

While I was there I did a lot of new things and had new experiences that I didn’t have back home in Idaho. I ate a lot of food that I have never tried around town. Traveled to many different cities such as Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daegu, Jeju, Gangnam, etc., exploring what the life was around these cities. I also learned more things than I could have ever imagined, and met new friends along the way. I had lots of fun while I was in South Korea. One of the most amazing part of my trip was going to Lotte World having the time of my life than when I was at home. I can say that I had the best time while I was there sightseeing and all which took the boredom out of me when I was at home. It gave me new ideas to be more active going around places when I’m at home or even in South Korea.

South Korea's Flag has 4 colors around it. The colors are red, blue, black, and white. I learned that the flag is called Taegeukgi and it symbolizes peace and purity in the white background. Taegeukgi especially not only symbolizes peace and purity but also means “Great Extremes”. The center symbolizes yin-yang which is the concept of creation and movement through balance and duality. The surrounding symbols represents the of heaven, earth, fire, and water. The symbols on the flag represents many things than just color or anything since this flag/symbol means a lot to Koreans. The flag makes up the essential elements of the nation.

I learned that Korea is led by a president which is the head of the state. She was Park Geun-Hye, the first female president in South Korea's presidency. The president their controls the land of South Korea. South Korea has no policy whatsoever over freedom of speech, religion, press, and assembly. The Head of government is the Prime Minister chosen by the president. I heard that a president in South Korea is elected directly by plurality vote to a five year term and then cannot be reelected. The government of the Koreas is split into two after World War II dividing the Koreas into North and South. A communist/dictator government is put in the North whereas South has a president.
