He composed most of the songs within the 3 books. In the last book of ayres he used contrapuntal lute parts and used more than just lute to accompany the solo voice such as a choirs and viols. The man is the reason our music sounds so great at Christmas Fantasia! His most famous work was Flow, my tears which spouted so many arrangements and variations.
