This article is taken from Los Angles Times, which is a famous news paper. First, this article compares the syrian refugees with jewish refugees during WW2. It also gives us some statistics about this taken those number from "Fortune" and "American Institute of Public Opinion". Then it gives us opinions of American people on social medias. Most of these people compare syrian refugees to the first Europeens who came to America as "refugees" to Indien Americans. Some of these opinions are serious, other are turned a funny way, but all these pubications are American citizens opinions i think it can be interessting to study those for our project.

According to “Obama asks US to accept 10,000 Syrian
refugees: Is that the right number?” writing by LaFranchi, Howard and published
in Sep 10, 2015 by The Christian Science Publishing Society, tell us
about the number of refugees that the United States are going to accept. They
are supposed to take 10000 refugees, but some people are saying that it will be
better to take more like 70000 refugees. However, some people opposed to this
decision saying that it can cause problem to the country, but the United sates
is a big country that can accept even more like 130000 refugees. They want the
refugees to come and enrich the US, it will help grow the economy and it is the
right thing to do.

Within this article, the author talks about how illegal
immigrants have been having their children born here in America abroad. The
author brings evidence and statistic to show how the number of immigrant
childbirth has decreased from 9% of the American population to 8% only within 1
year. He later on cites Donald Trump who is a candidate running for the 2016
presidency. The author then states the main reason of why immigrants intend to
have their children born in America, which is to get the American citizenship.
Donald then states that this is the main reason of why these illegal immigrants
come across to America.

This article is taken from the NY times which is a very famous and relevant news paper. This article talks about the number of Syrian refugees already in the United States. It start by saying the US have admitted 1 854 refugees since 2012, and it shows us a US map where we can see where refugees are located. After this, we have numbers about the differences between US and Germany in terms or Syrian refugees, and also Syrian refugees compared to other refugees admitted in US. After this, we have information about the previsions of the state department of admitting 10 000 Syrian refugees during 2016. We learn that these refugees will be help, and placed next to their families (if they already got family in US), and will be helped to get a job and a house. Refugees will have to be self-suffcient in a year.

Bernard Gordon discuses in his
article how immigrants are affecting the jobs in America. The author mentions
how another author states that having immigrants is good, but Bernard argues
that he is wrong and the job opportunities should be given to other American
citizens. It is affecting African Americans who drop out of school to work. He
states that the problem aren’t the labor workers, they are still needed in
farms and ranches. He also concludes with a good question to whom should the
priority be for, the seekers of citizenship or the people born in America?

Niel Shah explains the statistics of
why now China and India top Mexico in the number of immigrants in the United
States. In 2013 Mexico had 125k immigrants while China topped with 147k and
India also above at 129k. he later explains why these numbers went up and it
was because of these nations going to study, work, and unite with family over
there. But a shift in the American immigrant community is still far off down
the future line if it continues. Now two thirds of the Hispanic population in
America is no longer immigrants, but native-born.

This video of CNN news shows us that even if the American government said that US will accept 10 000 refugees, some governors still don’t want to accept Syrian refugees in their states, and they even close the borders. President Obama gave a speech in which he talks about the fact that some political leaders asked for a religion test before accepting these
refugees, and he said that it was a shame. So after studying what the public thinks about this issue, I think it’s important to know what political leaders think about it, and especially governors, senators, and the president.
