The story of migration I choose to talk about is my aunt's story.

Her name is Tiziana and she was born the 13 of april 1985 in Andria, a city located in Puglia, in the south of Italy. 

She has decided to move to Milan in order to continue her study, since she was already twenty years old she decided to move to Milan alone, without her parents. To do that she rent a small apartment near the University, in the center of milan.

It was not an easy task to manage, but this challenge improved her as a person making her more responsible.

Tiziana studied at Statal University, specializing in marketing and communication. Overall, the course duration was 3 years, after that she took the graduation.

After her studies she worked in a couple of small offices near Milan, taking care of social media communication, managing advertisement of media products.

A few years later she met my uncle and after 5 year of engagement they got married.

In the meantime his mother and father, who had been released from the hospital, migrated to Tuscany, but they weren’t happy there so they settled in Milan.

When my grandfather was about 7 years old, he and his brother Leo got to Milan too, where, years later, he met a girl named Giulia, my grandmother.

Today some of my relatives still lives in Puglia, some in Tuscany and in Sicily too, but most of us are settled in Lombardy.

 in this year my mum took the courage and made the documentents to go to Italy for my dad, she took the first plane and when she arrived in Bergamo where her sister lived she looked for my dad and as saw him they didn’t leave each other
