This is one of my favorite teacher bloggers. She writes about how she sets up her guided reading groups at the start of the year and she also shares a TON of games/activities she uses with small groups. I enjoy reading about how other teachers do guided reading groups and what works well for them. Sometimes, reading a teacher blog gives me more insight because it's REAL! (Not used in bibliography--no date).

http://thefirstgradeparade.blogspot.com/2016/08/launching-guided-reading-small-groups.html

My project will be called: Effective Guided Reading in First Grade. As a teacher in Michigan, I will be held more accountable for my students as readers, after the new third-grade reading bill was signed. I want to be able to use research-based strategies with my students that will benefit them as readers as they prepare for the grades ahead.
