DNA- the thing that carries our genetic information.

Homicide- one person murdering another.

That is the code every Detective must follow when looking for evidence. Detectives look for anything in the area of a crime scene for example: fingerprints, shattered items, clothes, etc. The other thing they will do is find eyewitnesses and get them to talk. Sometimes they will disguise themselves as regular civilians to get the information they need. To match the DNA of the fingerprints to a suspect they use forensics. Forensics is using scientific evidence to solve a crime for example: DNA scanning. There is some crime that doesn´t involve petty theft such as White collar crime. White collar crime is crime commited by business and government proffesionals. Luckily there is a special Department of Investigation that is charged with fighting against this kind of corruption. Americans have had drug problems since the 1960s. Drug abuse didn't start becoming a problem until it started spreading to people of all social and ethnic groups. With the use of heroin increasing rapidly, the amount of crime also increased. To fight against the increase in drug use and crime, The Narcotics Squad was created. Even though they fight to destroy the drugs and arrest addicts, this difficult job can easily lead to corruption.
