Hi I'm Denise and I am module leader and also look after 2 of the MScs that use this this module- there are also other MScs that access this module that I don't run. I've been at SHU for 4 years now after a long 'other life' as a Diagnostic Radiographer, 20 of which was as a reporting Radiographer. I still stick my nose in to clinical at 2 local Trusts, just to do reporting though. Really looking forwards to learning with and from. #theteacherlearnsthemost.

I've specialised within acute respiratory about 11 years but qualified back 2003. I've done a mix of modules so far on adult learning, advanced clinical reasoning and leading people but wanted to do a clinical respiratory modules which why I ended up here. Looking forward to it. Outside of work I have a young family (2 girls aged 2 and 5) who take up a lot of my time, but I enjoy running. Currently undertaking REDJanuary (RunEveryDay Jan). My laptop is quite new and I'm rubbish with IT, this is quite an old picture I found on Onedrive as Elsie is now 5, but we still like the outdoors!

We regularly have our own nurse led clinics and assess patients, breaking bad news, symptom and pain management. I also assess and prescribe systemic treatment for oncology which is a newish thing! So this course will add to that and I’m really excited about it but nervous at the same time doing it distantly so I’ll probably annoy you all!

Hi, I'm Emma and I'm in the first year of my ACP training. I have a background in Critical Care, CCOT, Organ Donation and Macmillan. I'd previously completed my NMP and am just at the end of APACS now. I'm really looking forward to this module as it will help in my practice and hopefully stop me staring at CXR's thinking what am I looking at?? I am doing contemporary issues also. Keeping me busy during lockdown :0)
