It calls for all levels of government to double their contribution to housing programs.

One of the most measurable recommendations of the One Percent Solution is to have $2 billion of federal funding and $2 billion of funding among provinces & territories go towards housing programs.

The TDRC helped push the development of the federal homelessness strategy in 1999 which resulted in $753 million for temporary shelter and services over the span of three years. (“The One Percent Solution.”)
