““...imagination takes flight.” (inside jacket cover)
I think the use of this hyperbole is to show us how Langston Hughes takes the time and effort to make his poems a success. This hyperbole is an example of how Langston Hughes makes his poems and how he feels when he makes them. He feels relaxed and inspired by the things he does and experiences in his life.
This impacts the tone of the text in a positive way by showing us that Langston feels focused and relaxed when he starts writing and making his poems .

"Everything I see speaks to me" The use of personification helps the reader visualize where Langston is but it also creates a deeper understanding of how Langston's mind works. It proves that Langston pictures the most simple things differently from other individuals.

"Everything I see speaks to me." The use of personification helps us understand how Langston is. He loves his poems and to me it looked like it was a perfect place for his poems to be base on. When he said it speaks to him he was trying to say that he was comfortable there that Harlem was somewhere where Langston belongs.
This impacts the tone of the text in a positive way. The fact that Langston is inspired and wants to inspire others shows the positive nature of the text.

“Everything speaks to me," (Page 1)

This example of personification helps the reader understand how Hughes gets his ideas and how they start to form. By everything 'speaking' to him, he has a deeper understanding of what things are and how they work, so when he writes his poems they flow out of him naturally. The reader can see how everything speaks to him and how much it affects his creativity and inspiration.

When the author says the sun is ablaze, he means the sun is hot and bright.I imagine that the sun is bright on the field. This is positive written image because when readers are reading the poem they are reading it with a positive tone when he is using a blaze he means like the sun is shinning everything with its sun lights.
