I think the use of this hyperbole is to show us how Langston Hughes takes the time and effort to make his poems a success. This hyperbole is an example of how Langston Hughes makes his poems and how he feels when he makes them. He feels relaxed and inspired by the things he does and experiences in his life.

This example of personification helps the reader understand how Hughes gets his ideas and how they start to form. By everything 'speaking' to him, he has a deeper understanding of what things are and how they work, so when he writes his poems they flow out of him naturally. The reader can see how everything speaks to him and how much it affects his creativity and inspiration.

 this is an example of hyperbole. When the author says the sun is ablaze, he means the sun is hot and bright.I imagine that the sun is bright on the field. The use of hyperbole helps the reader to understand just how creative Langston Hughes could be and how excited he was in sharing his life experiences, and those of other African Americans,  through literature. We can picture him sitting quietly on the train as ideas pop into his head and then are crafted into a poem on an envelope from his father.  You can picture a gleam in his eye as he imagines sharing this poem with others.
