This is Bess. Here I am platting a love knot into my long black hair, while Tim the ghost-like ostler stares chillingly into my black  eyes.Why?Is he jealous of my highwayman? I think he loves me but how could he think I love him back. I love my highwayman! Look at Tim cleaning the stables with his hair like moldy hay and has eyes that are hollows of madness. Unlike the highwayman who would die for me. How dare he love me, he would rather destroy my future then have me be with the highwayman. How dare he even think and look at me. I will never love him. This is my highwayman. He is so handsome: his French cocked hat swiftly darting through the air;  his rapier brandished high. How his blue eyes dance in the moonlight. I love him so much - I don't know how I could live without him. I will die for him. His ebony horse canters across the ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor, it's coat gleaming in the empty darkness.  I can't wait to see him tonight.

The way they treat other people makes me sick. their duty is to assist people and ensure they are safe, and not to hurt them. getting drunk on the job, I never knew that was part of their occupation contract! they gagged me up and pointed muskets at me! What had I done? They way they hunted down the love of my life on the highway was just depressing and broke my heart. How dare they shoot? I even sacrificed my life thinking he would live.
