- Dip a burned match in water before throwing it into a trash can

No injuries were reported, but one adult and one child were forced out. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross. 

The Escambia Fire Rescue arrived quickly and put out the fire within 30 minutes.

1. Put a large lid on the pan or over the fire to contain the flames.
2. Throw as much baking soda or cooking floor on the fire as possible until the fire goes out.
3. Aim an ABC fire extinguisher at the fire  immediately.
If none of these work, try putting a damp kitchen towel over the pot.
