Central Park is the largest public park in the Manhattan district of New York. It is located in the Uptown centre between the two residential neighbourhoods, the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side, which are named after their location with respect to the park. The streets that surround him also take his name. It is one of the best known city parks in the world, thanks also to its appearances in numerous films and TV shows.
