We don't know much about the characters as the film is short but we know the little girls dad is caring as he learns how to do his daughters hair and takes his time. This short film also won an Oscar which is even better for POC especially who often tend to be put down because of their hair. He died miserable and alone and no one came to his funeral even though he hosted all of those parties and did so  much for people. I give the book a 4.5 because it was good but the ending really made me angry.
