-Biotech companies make their money by making a drug and patent it and sell it, when the patent date ends, other biotech companies will jump in and steal their product, driving them out of business.

Reason 2: Lack of capital

-Biotech companies are seen as risky because most of them cannot even develop their drugs and medicines in time, making investors stay away from them and not providing the company enough money to survive.

Reason 3: Slow speed 

-Developing a drug takes a lot of time, it can take up to 10-20 years making biotech companies struggle to make sure that they don’t run out of money before finishing their drugs.

Reason 4: Dishonesty

-Many biotech companies were making dishonest products. For example, Theranos was founded in 2003 and people believed that small biotech company will change the world with it new blood testing devices that can find the blood result of a person just with a drop of blood into a tube. But in 2018, the company was found guilty of fraud, it turns out that their blood testing devices didn’t work and they were sending fake results.
