Grendel would always have is body covered in a cloak. I think this because he is a creature of the night and something you dont see coiming. Things you dont see coming are always scarier. In the begining of Beowulf it says grendel is powerful and that he lived in the darkness. Grendel is akin to a vampire. He thursts for murder and prefers the dark. also he is a outcast of society. i also choose vampire because i think that grendel is more of a human than a monster.
