as per my knowledge i feel first the module maker should be clear about what the topic is it should be precise with engaging activities and a good commication with kids will help a lot, the module should tell its meaning as soon as you read the first preface and will utmost knowledge and also something which kids will try to umderstand from you.

We develop a curriculum in order to give direction and organisation to all of the content that we are planning to teach, for example, a possible subject is history wherein the curriculum is the specific things that come under history and it includes the way in which we plan to teach those things, so it's also about evaluating what all we have to cover?

A curriculum is sort of a basic layout/structure of how a specific group of students needs to be taught. It is comprised of the content that needs to be taught, the teaching methodology which the teachers are supposed to be using and different ways in which the subject being taught can be made more understandable and fun for the students to learn.
