Rank each of the documentaries you watched on a 5 star scale--with one being the weakest and 5 being the best. Explain in three to four sentences why you ranked it as such. (Write as if people were deciding to watch the documentary based upon your evaluation. Avoid being too vague.) Ex. Focus on the realization the documentary inspired in you regarding our world today. Support that statement.

Overall, the documentary was beautiful. It truly caught the life of Marsha and how strongly she influenced those around her. That being said, I think the documentary itself skipped around quite a bit with the timeline which could potentially be confusing to some watching. Other than the quick pace of the movie itself, it gives a good image to the troubles of that time as well as the extreme neglect and police brutality towards trans people of that time.

American Factory was the most intriguing documentary I had the pleasure of watching. American Factory showed the disconnect between employees and higher-ups. This disconnect pops up as American higher-ups look at the lower worker safety standards in Chinese workshops not as a risk to the workers health and well being, but look at the lower safety standards as an upside to be more efficient. This alongside the blackmail higher-ups at the company set in place to shut down a workers union shows how corrupt and money hungry companies are. For keeping my attention all the way through and the premise that I would have never thought would be as interesting as it was, I give American Factory a 5/5.

I loved how it gave specific data about how fast polar ice caps are melting and just how fast the ocean is rising and how long we have until we go past the point of no return. I gave this documentary 4 stars because of the statistics and real world examples that it brings to light. This allows for the documentary to really sink in and allow you to understand more in depth the problems with our world.

While the documentary was playing it kept occurring to me how much this connects in our world today. This summer it was really brought to attention how innocent black people are killed because of a small "crime" they committed. For example Breonna Taylor, Elijah Mclain, Trayvon Martin, and George Floyd. This documentary brought to light those topics which are needed to be discussed in America right now.

One of the areas is actually talking to the police, Even though they tried to talk to one of the police officers who declined, after that one police officer, they just stopped pursuing it and I would have loved for it to go further in depth. However, the level of detail of the LGBT community around the time of Marsha was very descriptive with actual advocate interviews and file photos and videos of those people to prove their credentials. Overall, it was a good documentary that only lacked in one or two areas.

I'd rate the documentary "American Factory" 5 stars after watching it, the subject was initially something that I didn't think I would enjoy watching, as I have no experience or interest in the factory working field, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying it in the end. It showed the difference between American and Chinese factory standards, and informs the viewer on things that are being frowned upon in those fields in the current day, and how Chinese factory workers will typically push for efficiency rather than well-being of their employees. It shows how the factory system currently has issues that need to be worked on, and presses on how they can be helped, and or fixed. It kept my attention all the way through, and I stayed interested in a topic that I didn't think I was going to be interested in to any degree. Personally, I have to give it 5 stars.

I'd rate this documentary 3 out of 5 stars. Learning about the LGBT movement, the Stonewall riots, and Marsha's accomplishments was interesting. I knew very little about this subject, the documentary was a simple medium to learn from. One of my favorite traits of the film is how it emphasizes community and how we really see that throughout the film. We see all these leaders/community members and how they impacted today. The only issue I had with this film is that at some moments, it could be a little slow or flat out boring. Other than that, I enjoyed it for the most part.

The length that the documentary goes to really show just how big of a problem this is is truly incredible. I gave it five stars because it held my attention the entire time and even made me tear up out of emotion. I only gave it 3 out of 5 stars because I really wish the documentary could've found a way to talk to the Carters and get their side of the story like they did with Conrad's family. The tragic ending to Marsha's life along with the lack of an official investigation at the time, the amount of police bias towards Marsha's case and there avoidance of it was not only tragic, but disgusting. This opened a new view on the discrimination towards transgendered individuals and the disadvantages they had to encounter in their daily life. This is an important issue that people have greatly ignored from the presence of trans which I appreciate this film took a notice upon. Johnson was a documentary that focused on a very serious subject matter, and it touches very well on the things that it's supposed to be focused on, however, I feel that it could've honed in more in certain areas, and it focuses on only one person fighting for the movement. The person that it follows works hard for her cause, and it's admirable, however, she's the only person that they focus on when it comes to justice for Marsha, when the transgender movement is far more than just one person. Other than the small forementioned flaw, this documentary does a very good job of showing the issues it wants to show, and the side of the movement it wants to portray. For those reasons, I gave The Death and Life of Marsha P Johnson a 4/5

I give this documentary 4 stars because it gives information about the Stonewall riots and the lgbt movement. It has interviews with people that knew Marsha P. Johnson. There were some parts where it got a little boring but it really showed me how much people in the lgbt community have struggled.

I give this documentary a 5 out 5 because it really gives you an insight on the history of how P.o.c. were treated . They really went into all the ways on how P.o.c . were treated and tricked. The way they got into how slaves went into going to jail straight from school. Really opened my eyes on how the world use to work. Showed me how black people got into the prison system and how the media educated the public very wrong. I thank the

This documentary really opens up your mind on others people problems. A lot of us go on about our day with thinking, If it's not than its not my problem, then why should I care? This document really went in deps on what the LGBT community goes through. Marsha P. Johnson really started a movement without knowing it. I love how they stated her as ¨The Rosa Park ¨ of the movement she started. I think alot of more people should watch this document. Also I think more people should come out with alot of more of their story and they should put on main stream. Love the way this document showed the good and ugly and the history in the LGBT community.
