         <description><![CDATA[<div>Metaphor is a figure of speech that makes an implicit, implied, or hidden comparison between two things that are unrelated, but share some common characteristics.<br><br>In the movie, to build the fire The protagonist is “unrelated to the earth” on two levels. On a literal level, the lack of sensation leaves him unable to feel the ground. On a metaphorical level, this numbness describes the character’s broader relationship to the earth. Throughout the story, the protagonist is at odds with the environment, reading it incorrectly and struggling against it.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Imagery means to use figurative language to represent objects, actions, and ideas in such a way that it appeals to our physical senses. <br><br>In the movie To build the fire at the beginning "Day had broken cold and grey, exceedingly cold and grey, when the man turned aside from the main Yukon trail and climbed the high earth bank, where a dim and little-traveled trail led eastward through the fat spruce timberland." Author wrote this very detailedness, so the reader can quickly understand the situation of the setting.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>situation Irony is a literary device that you can easily identify in literary works. Simply, it occurs when incongruity appears between expectations of something to happen, and what actually happens instead.<br><br>In The Necklace, Madame Loisel believes she is part of the upper class by her looks, but she is unable to leave the lower class. After the party where she feels like she belongs in this class of society, she immediately loses the necklace, and the debt she and her husband have to take to buy a new one makes her fall into an even poorer life than before. At the end, it is shown that her pride made her fall this far, when she thought her pride would save her.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The setting is the author emotional and physical. the mood of a story is the emotional setting, and the time, place, and season comprise physical setting. <br><br>For example the setting of Borders is between Canada in Alberta and Salt Lake City in the US. The time is in the current period, maybe in the 1980s or 1990s. It is an emotional story because they are visiting their family member, Laetita, who left a long time ago, but also have to deal with their nationality, making the whole situation difficult for the family to handle.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Plot is a literary term used to describe the events that make up a story, or the main part of a story.<br><br>Greenel and Graynel are two island which have two different philosophies, on Greenel island they did not develop, but everyone on the island is happy, On the other hand, the people people live in the the Graynel island became more technologically advanced, but everyone is not happy. they want to build the bridge to the Greenel but the people who lived on Greenel refused. So the end of the story is the Graynel straight on the sea because their island is to heavy.</div>]]></description>

There are many types of character that exist in literature, each with its own development and function.<br><br>Diana from "Never Stop on the Motorway" is a single mother who works very hard and feels like she has to work harder than men in her world. When she is driving home, a van begins following her, and she feels like she is in danger. This reflects her character, as she wants to be seen as someone who is strong, but she becomes afraid, which showing her fear of the world.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The<strong> suspense short story </strong>should have tension. It should have action that draws the reader into a state of apprehension.<br><br>For example, in the short story Never stop on the motorway Diana is shown to be a normal woman who is driving home for the weekend, but she is pursued by a van after stopping in the road. No matter what she does, the van chases her, making her, and the reader, feel nervous. It is only at the very end of the story that it is revealed a killer is in her back seat, and the van driver was trying to help her, but the reader only thought that he was the dangerous one in the story.<br><br></div>]]></description>
