Cat introduced us to her characters, Amelia and Webster and then as a school we used a giant dice to produce our own story including the characters. The children were all interested in what she had to say and enjoyed her visit. As staff, we were incredibly impressed with the children's behaviour, manners and respect shown to Cat. Well done Combs!

Children have the right to give their opinions freely on issues that affect them. Adults should listen and take children seriously.

Children must be registered when they are born and given a name which is officially recognised by the government. Children must have a nationality (belong to a country). Whenever possible, children should know their parents and be looked after by them.

One of our pupils was chosen to ask a question and asked 'What advice do you have for aspiring authors?'

What you need to do:

• Tell us about a book you have read and what you think about it.

• Upload your illustration of a character or a scene from the story.

• Let us know what other books and authors you have enjoyed reading and why.
