Distribution in general is the action of sharing something among a number of recipients. There is a wide variety of things which can be distributed, for example a film, clothing, or food. In this case it would be the distribution of a film into a market place and having it remain there. This distribution can be done by anyone whether they work for themselves, work for a small company or even a large global franchise.

Marketing

Marketing is a huge part of this distribution process, and although the distribution process and end outcome is different in the UK as it is to the USA, there is still only one goal. To successfully identify a target audience. There are many ways in which marketing can be proceeded with, some of these being through magazines, Tv, adverts, radio, youtube, or even film festivals.

Although my film is no where near a big budget or high profile production with celebrity names like Johnny Depp or Past celebrity Brandon Lee there are still some distribution methods available to myself. Due to these factors it falls into a completely different band of user generated material. This material could be uploaded to websites like youtube, or even vimeo.
