Online learning is incredibly less personal than face to face learning. I think when you are face to face with students it provides opportunity to build a relationship and communicate about issues and nonissues, whereas online learning is very chaotic.

Online learning is different from face to face in that when you are working online you are constrained to whatever technology you are using. When you are working face to face you can guarantee that you have your students attention and that they will be able to clearly tell you what they are not understanding. On the flip side, when you work online you can communicate at your own convenience. You don't have to worry about finding the time to meet face to face.

Online learning is different in a lot of ways. From the teacher's perspective, she was able to spend a lot more time with her family and students. I recall her saying the how their paradigm shift from the content to the students; the way she engages the kids is through prompt feedback. Generally, in my experience, I've found that in my public schools, the feedback took forever. For some teachers, they wouldn't grade tests over a month after they were given. Now that I think of that, I find it kind of absurd. For the student's side, nothing seems too different in my opinion. It seems like they still get interactions with their teachers and fellow students. Though in a slightly different way. I was a little curious about how she would speak her foreign language if it was purely online.

With asking questions I think it becomes easier in terms of being scared to ask because you can type out everything your thinking and take time answering any question to your best ability. But I believe you make stronger connections when seeing the person face to face and learning directly from them.

Online learning seems to be different in many ways. I personally think it still seems more difficult. I would have a lot of trouble not having face to face interactions, as I am a talkative people person and enjoy and need those interactions to learn. I think it is different, because even if the teacher is giving immediate feedback, you can't just have a conversation with them about exactly what you are feeling. I feel a need to be much more professional with teachers over email or whatever, and I think this would be harder than actually talking to a teacher and being relaxed and able to really explain how you feel and what you are thinking.
