As students under this multidisciplinary program, the pressure is on us, as we are tasked to become 'verifiers' of truth or information. We have the privilege of education and thus, we must use it to analyze the information being presented to us and set an example to our fellow students and communicators. If it is change that we want in this post-truth society, then that change must begin with us.

A: As communication students, we have access on studying the different principles and theories that encompass communication. By understanding these, we can recognize the underlying causes of such situations that are present in a post truth society. But simply realizing these is not enough. Addressing such problems that arise from the post-truth society needs us to apply the concepts we learned appropriately. With those concepts, we will be able to formulate strategies for communicating more efficiently. 
 Therefore, we have to be the voice that speaks the truth amongst the many others that twists it for their respective agendas. It is our duty to bring to the forefront the issues that are being overlooked and to take action and help in any way we can to attain the change that we've all been hoping and wanting.

 As communication students, we have the responsibility to discern the truth by analyzing whatever is presented in different perspectives. Even within our own social circles, we can educate our peers in discerning the truth in order for them to be fully aware of the power they have in this post truth society.
